<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">By now, you all know that I plan to continue my story and
make this a book series. I have already begun to write the second installment
of this story and have begun an outline for the third one. I have toyed with
the idea of adding a fourth installment, but that’s too far off to be determine.
One thing I do know is that, I’m not going to drag my story out just to make
another book. If the second and third installments seem to leave the story
unfinished in a way that I am not satisfied with, then and only then, will I
attempt a fourth installment. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">I hope to be able to work with my artist and maybe even a
few of my fans to revamp the images of the characters and locations. I want them
to line up more with the story and truly capture the essence and nature of the
characters. Also, it would be nice to know what the readers expect from the
book so that I can do all I can to please them, without changing my own goals
and desires for the book.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Most of the first two books will draw from my own take on
Judeo Christian narratives, while throwing in heavy influences of pop-culture
and comic books, but the third installment focuses more on Christian principles
that will be depicted in a mythological manner. It will bring together a world
of God, Angels, false gods, and humanity. This may sound controversial, but
it’s really not. Remember, this is just a story. While I’m sure some may not
like this take on biblical themes, others may find it fresh and even exciting. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">While I never thought that Bible stories were boring, I have
always appreciated the drama of Roman and Greek mythology more. I always
appreciate it when someone, a director, or artist, or writer, comes up with a
way to tell a Biblical story in a way that is appealing to the masses. To me,
depicting Biblical stories in non-traditional ways is like someone doing a
cover of a song that’s widely known. Doing a cover of a song allows the artist
who’s doing it to expose a new generation and or demographic to the song, who may
not have had a chance to experience it. The only drawback to this is the
possibility of a bad cover. Whether good or bad, covers, remakes, and adaptations
do one thing consistently; they get people thinking about the original. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">So… my story will continue to grow and go places that may
not be expected. My readers will have the opportunity to see what becomes of
Giovanni and Mira after they’ve settled on their life choices at the end of the
first book. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In the follow-ups to <u>Giovanni’s
Angel</u>, my characters will travel many places around the world and even into
Heaven and Hell. Time will cease to be linear as the story jumps back and forth
through the present, past, and even the future. There is so much I’d like to
tell you, but I don’t want to give anything away. In the next installment of
this series, all subtleties will be put aside and the action will get pretty
thick…So prepare yourselves to stand strong and face the <u>Eternal Curse:
Battleground</u> that’s coming your way. -Day 40 complete.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">If you've seen the </span><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xho2tc-njD8" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">youtube</span></a><span style="color: #274e13;"> video, you already know this stuff. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">If you haven't and don't feel like reading all this, </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Talking about myself is not a strong point for me, but I guess I can say a little bit concerning my role as author. For me writing is a creative outlet that lets me momentarily escape from reality. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I thinks it’s good sometimes to just let your mind go. Writing <u>Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel</u> has been a mind-expanding process for me.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">When I started writing it, I had no idea I was going to actually turn it into a book. The more of the story I wrote, the more it seemed that I really had something to write about. Then I was overcome with the desire to share my story with others; well sort of. I hadn’t actually done any creative writing since I left college, so as my story was developing, I remained very hush hush about the whole matter. I did’t want anyone to read it until I felt I had something to really offer the reader.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Working with my brother-in-law, Eric the artist, was challenging because I didn’t allow him to read the story. I provided him with a simple summary and detailed descriptions of how I imagined the characters. I know this sounds crazy, but there was reasoning behind this decision. I wanted to see if what I was writing was coming across the way I intended it, or if I was writing something that only made since in my head. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">I was more than pleased with the images my brother-in-law was able to come up with. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>He captured as much of the characters as possible, given that he had very little to go on. He also seemed to pick up on elements of the book that I never even mentioned. I am especially pleased with the image he drew of my two main characters standing by the water. This particular scene does actually occur in the story, but Eric had no way of knowing that. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">While I cradled this first project and kept it very closed out, I plan to be much more open with the follow -ups. I think it’s all a matter of confidence; before I finished the book I didn’t really believe that I could do it. Now that I’ve finished and released my first book, I have nowhere to go but up. I will continue to write and improve. -Day 39 complete.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"></span></span><br />
<div align="center" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">If you've
seen the<span style="color: red;"> </span></span><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OlIJhhhpUQ" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">youtube</span></a><span style="color: #274e13;"> video, you already
know this stuff. </span></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">If you haven't and don't feel like reading all this, </span></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">click the link and save yourself some time and reading.</span>
</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Doctrine is one of those words that you don’t often hear in
everyday conversation, but once you’ve heard it used in a sentence you pretty
much understand its meaning. Not wanting to take anything for granted, I will
put this notion aside briefly to explain what doctrine is. Doctrine is a set of
rules and or principles that is taught as part of a belief system, whether it
be philosophical, religious, or political. </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The story of <u>Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel</u> is a
fictional story with a basis in one particular religious doctrine. I’m
obviously influenced by the things I know and have been exposed to throughout
my life. Fiction in story telling is like painting a picture; you can make the
picture look however you want, but it may still get interpreted in many different
ways. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
I hope that those who have an appreciation for Judeo
Christian philosophy will not get too bogged down by my lack of detail and
accuracy; and will instead just enjoy the story. For those unfamiliar with
Judeo Christian philosophy, I suspect they will have no problem just enjoying
the story, as long as they don’t read it trying to find something that isn’t
there. - Day 38 complete.</div>

<span style="font-family: Calibri;">In this book, the reader gets to share several meals with
the characters. The meals they share are important for so many reasons, but
mostly because it brings them together as a family. Since Abraham is the
culinary artist of the group, I’ve decided to share two recipes that coincide
with the meals he prepares.<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

Giovanni when she shows up to their house wearing a very smart looking business
dress. She dons a knee length brown dress (not form fitting, but also not too
loose), with a white blouse underneath. On her feet, she wears brown Mary Jane
flats. As always, she has on her reading glasses and some metallic hair clips to
keep her hair out of her face.</div>

3. Once Mira has settled on the notion that she will be hanging around
Giovanni, Abraham, and their lovely home for a while, the reader gets to see
Mira get casual. She comes down for breakfast one day wearing a yellow blouse,
dark denim jeans, and comfortable running shoes. Of course, her outfit is only completed
with the presences of her matching hair clips and glasses.<br />

way to be uniquely fashionable. When staying up late one night watching an old
movie, Mira prepares for bed just in case she gets sleepy. She wears a long simple
lavender nightgown, a white robe, some purple fuzzy slipper, and a purple hair
bonnet. Mira isn’t shy around Giovanni anymore by this time; she’s comfortable
being who she is around him. </div>

5. Mira finds herself playing a very domestic and
supportive role for Giovanni by the end of the story, especially when Abraham
dies, but that doesn’t keep her from standing out fashionably. She accompanies
Giovanni to help take care of some of<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Abraham’s personal matters over an intimate lunch. She wears a long
flowing brown dress with a black inkblot floral design on it. She also wears
floral hair clips and black flats with a floral toe.-<span style="color: black;">Day 36 complete.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
Companionship is one of those basic human necessities that most people take for granted almost all the time. It is not until someone is left completely and utterly alone that he or she is able to truly appreciate the presence of another human being.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
Modern society has taken the praise of individuality to an almost fatally dogmatic level. It seems that every convenience of modern technology exists only to pull individuals away from other people, until we are left with a society of individuals, surviving by technology and with no human interaction. I myself have been known as a loner. While most people seem to be in search of a way to get away from others and all the drama that comes with human fellowship; the characters of <u>EC:GA</u> are all in search of a salvation that will take them away from their personal worlds of seclusion, loneliness, and isolation. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
The very definition on the word companion expresses a duality of meaning. A companion is one who is in the company of another. It almost makes it seem as though each person is responsible to another in order to fulfill the job of companion. It would seem that no one is alone unless they have made no effort to accompany someone else, but life isn’t that cut and dry. Everyone knows that some people can and unfortunately will be rejected by others, the masses, the objects of their affections, and so on, thus leaving the former feeling lonely and leaving<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the latter oblivious to their feelings.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: left;">
I think the point I’m trying to make, is that companionship is essential to the human condition. Romance and love are nice, but are optional. When a person commits a crime and continues to behave badly the only acceptable punishment that is both fitting to their status as a criminal, but is not considered cruel and unusual, as long as it is temporary, is in fact solitary confinement. I guess that’s something to think about. -Day 35 complete.</div>

<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Eagles have, since ancient times, represented many aspects
of status and power. Eagles have been used as symbols of royalty and high
military rankings since the beginning of modern civilization. While there have
been many exaggerations and folktales made about the power and might of eagles,
we must all understand that even the tallest of tales have some truth to them. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Biblically speaking, eagles have many, not so commonly
known, significances to them. It is the eagle or the “ravenous bird” that is associated
with those who were sent forth to destroy wicked lands. Eagles are a symbol of
strength and in some ways fear. They do not represent a fear that comes from
evil, but a fear that comes from dealing with punishment or retribution. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Mythically speaking, eagles represent mystical strength and
power. They are the ones who sit up high on the mountain and look down at those
who would be their prey. Many kings and gods would emulate this seating of
elevation to look down upon, not only their enemies, but their followers as
well. Some mythologies look at the eagle as a sacred guardian or warrior of
nature, keeping a balance to the circle of life. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Practically speaking, eagles are symbols of flight and
skills within flight. The best pilots, especially those in the military, are
often called eagles. With all the millions of birds having the capability of
flight, it’s a wonder that it is the obvious depiction of eagle wings that are
given when someone makes an achievement in flight: taking your first plane ride,
passing a flight test, and so much more.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">In my story, the eagle represents a hodgepodge of all these
images. The eagle is meant to represent something that is far and away and
unobtainable; it is possibly frightening, definitely powerful, and hopefully righteous.
It is not only a symbol of flight, but of the desire to take flight and soar
into the heavens or the unknown. Day 34 completed</span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<u>Leo</u>- <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>He is
introduced very late in the book and serves as another piece in the big
mysterious puzzle which Mira is still trying to solve. While it is only briefly
mentioned in the book, the true source of Leo’s involvement in the story is
explained here. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Leo is a very distant relative of the man who bought
Sinclair Manor after all the Whittleton family had died off or left town. His
family was sent to live in Whitteltown to look after Abraham and his financial
affairs. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
As the eldest son, Leo takes on the responsibility of looking
after Abraham after his father dies. Leo becomes quite fund of Abraham, but
remains untrusting and unfriendly towards Giovanni for a very long time. It
doesn’t help that Abraham and Giovanni have filled Leo’s mind with a lie to
cover up the strange happenings that he inevitable sees, over the years,
interacting with them.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<u>Sarah</u>- In this story Sarah represents the true damsel
in distress. Abraham, and even Giovanni, try to save Sarah, but her fate is
predetermined. She is the love of Abraham’s life. He loves her from time he
first meets her in grade school, right up until the day he dies. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Abraham meets, poor Sarah, at a very young age and
immediately decides that he’s going to save her. He goes to work trying to
provide her a life she might have never had without him. In Abraham’s attempt
to provide for the woman he loves, his mind becomes clouded by his pursuit
instead of his intentions. When Abraham is faced with the death of his precious
Sarah, he’s left wondering if the love of his life had been replaced by the
love of his pursuit for wealth.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<u>Esset</u>- <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She’s
no Mary, but in this story she might as well be. She is the holy mother that
Giovanni seeks, but she is nothing like the blessed virgin. Esset isn’t chosen
by God to be the mother of Giovanni, but it is she who decides that he can be a
servant unto Him, if he chooses. While Mary faced scrutiny over her unplanned pregnancy,
Esset suffers a brutal assault and then flees the superstitious judgment of her
common neighbors. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="color: red;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span>I guess the one thing the reader truly
learns from Esset is unconditional love and devotion. Everything in her life
has happened to her, nothing bad or good is of her own doing, yet she is not
bitter, angry, or sad. She finds whatever peace and contentment there is to be
found and holds on to that, so she can just make it through. When Esset finally
dies, she dies happily knowing that she has the love of her child to live on
after she is gone. -Day 33 complete.</div>

</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Both Seth and Marcos are introduced in <u>EC: Giovanni’s
Angel</u>, but neither of their characters really get to shine until the third
installment, yet it is necessary to understand the importance of these
characters early on. Both of these characters are ancestors to Giovanni and
were once very close. At some point they are disconnected and go down
drastically different paths.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Seth is the source of the Eternal Curse, though this fate is
nowhere close to resembling the intentions and plan he originally set out to
live. Seth was an angel given the task of being a fighting trainer. He was one
of the few angels chosen to help develop hand-to-hand combat for the human
creation after the fall of Satan. I know that sounds a bit weird now, but I
gets better when you read the story. It is this task of, reluctantly, being a fighter
that ultimately causes Seth to wander from God’s plan, and bring forth the
curse that fuels this story.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Marcos is not the source of the curse, but he definitely
adds fuel to the fire. He is an instigator of sadness and pain, and unfortunately,
for him, he is also the bearer of unforeseen blessings. In Marcos’s efforts to
increase the offensiveness of Seth’s curse, he unwillingly opens the door to a
possible future of relief and redemption from the curse. Realizing his mistake,
Marcos simply bides him time to face the adversary helped to create, by
spending centuries developing an army to fight it.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The conflict between Seth and Marcos is almost analogous to
the conflict between Giovanni and Bletsian. With Seth and Marcos, you have two
righteous entities slowly pulling away from each other and ultimately spiting
for eternity with horrifying consequences. With Giovanni and Bletsian, you have
two distant, dark, and troubled entities slowly coming together for all
eternity trying to right the wrongs of the past.-Day 32 complete.</div>

</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Fallen angels, corrupted souls, demons, you’d think they’d
all be the same thing, but not in this story. Most of the demons that are
encountered in this series are just background or side characters. There is one
main demon that is described in the first book, which is a standard for the
others that will be introduced later.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The Demon in this story is a fallen Angel who plans to seek
retribution from the Angels who didn’t descend and remain in Heaven with God.
This demon is reduced in stature and is opposite from the beauty and glory of
the righteous angels in every way. <span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">He

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Most of the demonic forces that are present in the first
book, and even in the later issues, are of people who are possessed by demonic
spirits. Even in that regard, most of these characters prove to have been
corrupted people, thus giving way to an easily corrupted soul. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>-Day 31 complete.</div>

<span style="font-family: Calibri;">There are several different types of Angels that will make
an appearance in this series, but there are only three that are actually
described in the first book. A Seraph and an Arch are two types of angels that
are depicted in this first book. While the Seraph is unnamed in the first book,
it will be more closely viewed in the books to come. There is a very brief
description of another angel in the first book, but to describe it now would just
cause confusion. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The Seraph of <u>Giovanni’s Angel</u> is described as being
twice the size of an Archangel, with four sets of wings, and the head of an Ox.
The significance of this angel is not explained in the first book, but is meant
to entice the reader into wanting to know about the background story that is
slowly unraveled throughout Giovanni’s dream struggle.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The Archangel that is depicted in the story is a more
traditional take on an angelic hero. The Arch is tall, lean, and muscular with
golden glowing skin and powder white wings.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Each of the Angels is depicted as warriors carrying very distinctive
weapons.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The significance of this
particular Arch is also not explained in the first book, though followers of
angelic history may be able to figure it out which it is. Never the less, the
whole story and all the players will be explained in full, later in the series.</div>

<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">The mythology behind this story is slated to be told in
greater detail, in the third installment of the series. I will however provide some
insight to it now, as it is introduced in this first book. Understanding where,
how, and when everything started is part of the struggle Giovanni faces, and
the reader must struggle through this understanding to see how it all ties in
together at the end. I hope that this makes for an enjoyable and unpredictable
reading experience.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The mythology I used for my story comes from what I know and
have learned just from living my life, but I have added my own twist to it. As
I am depicting images, figures, and scenes of biblical accounts, I want to
assure any and all my readers, that though it is greatly influenced by
traditional Judeo Christian philosophy, what I have written is completely made
up. It is meant to make for a good story and is in no way my opinion of the
truth or “what really happened.” It’s just a story and should in no way be
taken as theological doctrine. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Now that that’s all cleared away…this is how it goes…During
the Fall, as many know it, or the descent of Satan, there were two angels who were
the best of friends. They each became caught on opposing sides of the celestial
war. Everything that happens in <u>Giovanni’s Angel</u>, is a direct result of
the conflict between these two estranged friends, Seth and Marcos. The extent
to which their disagreement affects the current story can only be determined by
reading the book.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
In this first installment, the reader receives a glimpse of Heaven
that will be visited later, along with a look into Hell. The reader is provided
with a preview of what is to unfold later in the series. A unique, though maybe
not completely original, depiction of Angels and Demons is provided that should
open up the reader’s mind to accept what is to come later in the series. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>-Day 29 complete.</div>

</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">This story deals with death in many ways and many times. I
did not set out to write a story fill with death and don’t feel that what I’ve
written is in any way somber or sad. I do think that I came to realize, while
writing this story, that though most people don’t like to even think about it,
everyone knows that they will have to deal with it sooner or later. I tried to
address death as an inevitability that is just another part of life.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Death occurs throughout the telling of this tale, but none
of the instances are the same. Some of the characters die peacefully and
quietly while others die violently. With death comes grief and in this story I
get to deal with many phases of grief including coping and denial. I have also
described to very different funeral scenes, one that does not help the grieving
process, and one that does.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
All of the events that occur after the instances of death
also allow the reader an opportunity to process their own feelings about the
situations depicted in the story, as well as instances in their own lives.
Readers will find that they either relate to these situations or not; they may
even decide whether or not they like or agree with the way these deaths are
handled. Either way, I hope the reader appreciates these images, and that they
somehow help the reader to deal with any death they may have encounter in their
life. -Day 28 complete.</div>

</span></span></div>
<span style="color: black; font-size: small;">
</span></span><br /></div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Gardens have always been thought fondly of by writers,
and have been used throughout history and literature to tell great stories.
From the story of the “<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Garden of Eden,”</i>
to the tale of “Rappaccini's Daughter,” and up to the modern classic s of the <u>Secret
Garden</u> and <u>Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil</u>, gardens always leave
their mark on great stories.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
In EC: <u>Giovanni’s Angel</u>, the gardens serve as a
refuge for the characters in the story. The garden is where the characters go
when they need time and space to work through whatever obstacle they happen to
be dealing with at the time. In life, gardens are the places where everyday
people get in touch with nature and create life in a way that anyone who wants
to, can. In this story, it is in the garden where Giovanni is able to relate to
and connect with the otherwise harsh world he lives in and is able to bring
forth life, despite being surrounded by darkness, sorrow, fear, and even death.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
Lastly, I think the garden presents a peace that is
sought out by all the characters in the book and maybe even all the people in
the world. Gardens, to many people, bring us one step closer: to the beginning,
to a creator, to the center of nature, to the basic elements of life that are
uncomplicated by the complexities of the homo sapiens’ ever evolving or
expanding minds. Gardens are a symbol of peace. If someone is searching for his
or her purpose in life, to lead him or her to a place of peace, then a stop off
in a garden may be a good idea. -Day 27 complete.</div>

</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">I think the use of colors is very import when it comes to
storytelling, even in everyday conversation. It seems that the person who’s
able to more vividly describe a situation is more likely to keep and capture an
audiences’ attention when telling a story, and color is a major part of that.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The main character of my story is plagued with gray colored
skin; that in itself should tell you a lot about the character. Gray can mean
so many things and most of the meanings, perfectly, describe the character of
Giovanni. Gray means in between black and white or neutral, it means old or
ancient, it means dull and even gloomy. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
In the story, two other characters are identified by their
favorite colors of blue and purple. So what do these colors tell us about these
characters? Blue means many things, but in this story, I think the optimistic
impression of blue is what’s left by the character associated with it. In this
story, blue represents abundance or clarity such as the blue sky or blue ocean,
and sometime it also represents worth or accomplishment like that of a blue
ribbon. The color purple is represented in much the same way. Purple represents
nobility and righteousness.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Some colors have such vague, and yet, powerful significance
in this story as they pertain to special elements or precious metals. Gold is a
malleable metal that does not rust or dull. It can be combined with other
elements to achieve almost unbreakable strength, which it represents everywhere
it appears in this story. Silver is much the same; it is a precious metal that
makes a great conductor and can be used in many ways depending on how it is
combined with other chemicals. Even onyx, the black rock, has significance that
is not so obvious to the reader, but as it appears in the story, it makes a
mark that intrigues the mind. I challenge my readers to read the story, find
the onyx, and then see how it compares with the meaning of the word.<br />
<br /></div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Colors, elements, and even light are used
throughout the story to help identify contrast. Something wonderful may happen
on a gloomy gray day, while something horrible occurs on a bright sunny day.
This use of color and light is meant to be representative of harsh contrasts in
reality, especially since this story is so fantastical. -Day 26 complete.</span></span><br /></div>

<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
I’ve always thought of dreams as being the movies we create
in our minds as we sleep at night. As with most creations people make, dreams
reflect the happenings, thoughts, or concerns of our daily life. When we dream,
we create a world for our inner desires and or struggles to work themselves
out. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
While sweet dreams tend provide the most rest and make us
feel happy and content, sad, and even scary dreams serve a purpose. I think
that dreaming is a necessity to live a healthy life; for how sad, confused, and
or boring would life be without dreams. Not to overdramatize things, but I
think people would eventually lose the will to live if they had never dreamed
once in their entire live</div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Dreams are a major part of the story development of this
book. All the characters at some point reveal their inner desires and struggles
through their dreams. My hero, Giovanni, suffers for years with the side
effects of several non-reconciled reoccurring nightmares. Mira looks forward to
her dreaming time, because she uses it as an opportunity to live out her
fantasies and do all the thing she may be too afraid to do in the reality of
consciousness. Even Abraham finds comfort in knowing that one day he shall see
the reality of his greatest dream come true.<br />
</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Ultimately, it is through the limitless
possibilities of the dream world that Giovanni is finally able to truly
understand who he is and is meant to be. For him and others later on, dreams
become another form of communication, making a lack of knowledge a nonissue to
overcome. - Day 25 complete.</span></span>

<br /></div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">I think most people look at the classic DC tale of Superman
and think that Clark Kent is just his alter ego. Most people think that Clark
Kent is this persona that Superman uses to try and have a “normal” life
whenever possible, but that’s not how I see it at all. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
I believe that Clark Kent is the real true man. Clark is who
he’d want to be if he could choose. I think that’s why Superman is such a great
hero. Clark, unselfishly, decides to be a hero even when he doesn’t want to
because it’s the right thing to do. I view Giovanni and Bletsian in the same
way. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Giovanni and Bletsian may share a body, but they are not the
same. It is Giovanni who decides whether to be a hero or not. Giovanni
constantly fights a losing battle to fit into normal society with minimal
scrutiny, and is appeased only by the acceptance he receives from the only two
people who really knows who he is. Giovanni is satisfied to struggle the way he
does, because he knows that it pleases the people he cares about, to at least see
him trying. </div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
There will come a time when Giovanni will struggle with his
duality, wondering if he should prefer one persona over the other. As Bletsian’s
power, strength, and influence grows, it makes Giovanni proud, but then it also
scares him. He is confused by his desire to be human and to be loved like a
man, while also wanting to embrace his supernatural calling and exist in a
world where he doesn’t have to hide his true form.<br />

Giovanni figures it all out by then end of this book, but he doesn’t. He does
however make a choice he will live with for a long time, until he comes to
terms with this dilemma in the next book. -Day 24 complete.</span></span><br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<div align="center" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">If you've
seen the </span><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwcxWghFCQo&feature=plcp" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">youtube</span></a><span style="color: #274e13;"> video, you already
know this stuff. </span></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;">If you haven't and don't feel like reading all this, </span></div>

</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">I have plans to expand and develop my story in great detail,
which includes me going back to explain how my characters got to where they are
when this, the first installment of this series, begins. I guess you could say
that I just can’t keep my mouth shut. I do not intend to give away so much
information, as to deem writing the story useless. My plan is to give you, the
reader, insight into these characters to help you better understand them while
preparing you for what is to come. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
In the next few days, I will provide background timelines
for the main three characters of my book, and each timeline will end where the
book begins. The timelines I provide should serve as an orientation into these
characters, if you have not yet read the book, but if you have, then they will
just be cool bits of info to know about the characters. Being new at this whole
writing thing, I just didn’t think I could find a way to creatively fit all
this information into the story without it seeming to drag along; but maybe
that’s something I can rectify later on down the road. -Day 20 complete.<span style="color: red;"><br clear="all" style="mso-special-character: line-break; page-break-before: always;" />

<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Whitteltown is an imaginary place that is the epitome of
small town America. Going there is almost like traveling back to a simpler
time. It’s the perfect place to encompass the mysterious estate of Sinclair Manor,
complete with its own notorious past. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Whitteltown is a small town with one main road and one
electronically lit intersection. All the town’s businesses are located on this
one main road and the rest of the town’s dwellings, churches, and school encircle
this one main road. It is a semi-rural town with very few residents and not a
lot of traffic flowing to it. It is very “off road”. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The legend behind the town is that, a group of wood carvers
founded it. The whittlers and their families were a strange sort of people,
very simple minded and basic, but very good at carving wood. Soon the demand
for ornately carved wood began to dwindle, so the remaining families joined
together to form one dynamic group of wood carvers who could share and support
one another, calling themselves the Whittletons.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
As the Whittletons’ family grew, the land they settled in
became known as Whitteltown. Once again, demand for woodcarving took another
slump and the family had to find other endeavors to pursue. The family brought
small businesses into their town, providing them financial backing, and taking
partial ownership and profits in return. The family became quite wealthy.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Little by little, the Whittletons began to spread out and
die off, but not before one more financial boom came to them. They became the
caretakers to outlaws; any outlaws needing a place to hide away while traveling
through, had a place as long as they could pay. The town was so small and so
secluded that many law enforcement agents just couldn’t find it back then, but
criminals were always good at quietly passing information along by word of
mouth. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
By the turn of the twentieth century, most of the family was
dead and the few who remained were retired. The family had invested in the
stock market and now just gave rise to spoiled single child heirs. For a long
time the Whittletons and their town was forgotten about until the birth of
prohibition. Then like pirates in search of gold, thugs came from all around
seeking out the legendary haven as a hide out for when they were busted for
bootlegging and such. <br />

poor, townsfolk of Whitteltown finally decided to rise up again the
Whittletons. Without their money and influence, they were forced to leave town
taking all their corruption with them. The whole family died off before the end
of the Great Depression. Out of all the mayhem that occurred, there was one low
ranking thug who’d managed to thrive in the little town because he never took
more than he needed and looked out for the towns folk. He took over the
Whittletons’ home, Sinclair Manor, until it was purchased from him later. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>-Day 19 complete.</span></span><br /></div>

</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span>If I had to be completely isolated from modern society and
civilization, Sinclair Manor is the place I’d like to live out my seclusion.
Sinclair Manor is more than a house, it’s a whole different world hidden away from
the rest of the world, but not so far away to make you forget that the world is
still out there. Like all the other characters and places in this story,
Sinclair Manor has a special history and legacy.
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The original house was quite small. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It was the surrounding land that its builder
was interested in. It was built by the Whittleton family near the beginning of
the 19<span style="font-size: x-small;">th</span> century. The family was looking for a quiet place to settle
their growing family away from the hustle and bustle of the city. After
traveling for many miles down deserted prairie-like land, the family came to a
place where the dirt road just stopped. There was nothing and no one around for
hundreds of miles. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
While the emptiness was nice, it was still out in the open;
the family feared that one-day people would come to build a real road through
this land. Then the family noticed that there was some thick forestry off in
the distance at the base of rolling hills. They walked through the forest until
they’d gone too far to turn around and were too tired to keep moving forward.
It was there, in the middle of the wilderness that the family settled. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Chopping down trees to clear the land was easy for them,
since wood was there business. They built several small cabins to lodge the
members of their family while they continued to harvest the lumber. They sold
some of it, carved some of it, and even made furniture of some of it, but
mostly the stored it. After five years of storing lumber, the family tore down
their cabins and began to build Sinclair Manor, which they named after the
family patriarch, Sinclair. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
They built onto the house one room at a time until they had
a grand estate to house their dynasty of a family. The family experienced many
financial and social ups and downs as their family began to expand and take on
the burden of setting up a small town. Near the turn of the 20<span style="font-size: x-small;">th</span> century,
most of the family had moved away or died off, and those who remained had
become the product of a labor-less wealthy existence. The corrupted offspring
of the once noble Whittleton family now conversed and communed with criminals. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
It didn’t take long for that aimless generation to lose
their house and fortune, leaving Sinclair Manor in the hands of a smart low
ranking thug, who later sold it to a boss. It is during this time that Abraham
and Giovanni acquire the estate and begin to make it their home. The house
itself has been renovated many times, even to the point where rooms had been
added on then taken off. Ultimately, the layout of house was broken down to the
most basic, making all the rooms very large, grand, hall-like suites. -Day 18

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span></span><br />
<span style="color: blue; font-size: x-small;"><div align="center" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: #274e13;">If you've
seen the </span><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xH6Li-PlDQA&feature=plcp" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">youtube</span></a><span style="color: #274e13;"> video, you already
know this stuff. </span></span></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13;"><span style="font-size: small;">If you haven't and don't feel like reading all this, </span></span></div>

</span></span></div>
<span style="color: black; font-size: small;">
</span><br />
</span><br /></div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">The places in my story are more than just a variety of
backgrounds to keep the reader from getting bored. Each location serves a
purpose. I tried to use the locations, without getting too deep or figurative,
to help exemplify the emotional state of the characters throughout the
book.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
In the beginning of the story, Mira is alone in her cold
dark apartment, that’s really more of a loft. Then the reader begins to learn
of Mira’s issues of loneliness and rejection. My hope is that the reader is
able understand the idea that Mira is getting ready to leave her cold dark
world of loneness to venture out into the world, seeking companionship. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
When Mira leaves Chicago, she goes to Virginia. Right away,
she feels different and comments on the bright greenery of the scenery. In the
small town of Whitteltown, Mira and the reader get a view of a simpler life.
While work and technology seem to fuel the life she lived in Chicago, in
Virginia Mira turns off her cell phone and inadvertently abstains from watching
and using mass media, and gets back to nature.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
While staying at Sinclair Manor, Mira and the other
characters connect to the house and the surrounding land as though it were another
character. The gardens and orchards become a place of peace and an escape for
anyone needing a rest from reality. Life at Sinclair Manor is almost utopian in
comparison to the busy worlds of Chicago and New Jersey. </div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
Abraham is originally from New Jersey, and the great
tragedies that he suffers through, occur there. He and Giovanni also leave
behind the sadness of their lives, in the city, to take refuge in the peaceful
country of Virginia.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
The one other place that is visited repeatedly in this story
is the edge of Heaven. Through Giovanni’s dreams, the reader gets a glimpse of
a war torn Heaven that will be more fully described and laid out in the books
to come. -Day 17 complete.</div>
